From the Vault: Strange Fire & Fumery's Lilac & Gooseberries
Lilac & Gooseberries (Lilac, gooseberries)
Preliminary notes: My bottle is 3 years old, and the only change I can discern from when I bought it brand new to now is that the fruit notes have deepened a bit. In checking Strange Fire & Fumery's website, this appears to not be available anymore.
In bottle: Deep, dark purple fruits and a bit of a sharp floral.
On skin: The lilac note gets a lot less sharp on the skin, and the gooseberries are right there along with it. They both vye for attention but are well-balanced here. The whole thing ends up smelling mysterious yet clean and fresh.
Verdict: 5 lilac bushes doused in gooseberry juice out of 5.
